in 1910 Foden's Motor Works Band became the National Brass Band Championships at Crystal Palace, London.

The Test piece was “Gems of Schubert” arranged by William Rimmer.

Adjudicators were Richard Stead, James Old Hulme, J Beswick

1st Foden's Motor Works Band (drawn 2nd)

2) Irwell Springs (drawn 7th)

3) Spencer's Steel Works (drawn 9th)

Foden's were awarded £40, a Boosey’s Cornet and medals along with the trophy
