On the 1st October 1932 Foden's became the National Champions held at Crystal Palace
Test piece was 'A Downland Suite' by John Ireland
Adjudicators were James Brier. Henry Geehl, Herbert Bennett
1st) Foden's Motor Works Band
2nd) Black Dyke Mills
3rd) Wingates Temperance
After the competition the evening concert involved the band yet again and the piece chosen to be played that night was “Labour and Love” by Percy Fletcher who died three weeks prior to the contest.
