Between the 18th and 19th February 1935 Foden's performed a concert for Baxter and Barter where they received 10% Commission = £108. This engagement was to take part in the film “THE SMALL MAN” produced by Baxter and Baxter for Universal Pictures Ltd. The film is about a small shop keeper who was being forced out of business by a larger company.  Fodens were filmed at the Stoll Studios in London playing the “William Tell Overture” by Rossini. The film was released later that year.
